Job Summary

A line cook plates dishes and completes basic food prepping tasks for a restaurant. Their main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cleaning up prep areas, and making sure the kitchen is stocked. We are looking for dedicated team members who want to grow with an incredible company.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

• Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

• Clean up station and take care of leftover food

• Stock inventory appropriately

• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion

• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

• • Presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing guests about food preparation details
• • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
• • Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
• • Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed
• • Assisting with special events as needed
• • Greet all guests in a hospitable and warm manner
• • Understand and communicate all products and services available
• • Must have some familiarity with basic food knowledge
• • Commit to delivering high levels of customer service
• • Practice appropriate/required safety and sanitation procedures at all times
• • Handling cash and credit transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guests.
• Qualifications
• • High School diploma or GED
• • Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant
• • Able to multi-task
• • Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces
• • Customer service focused and solution oriented
• • Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
• • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs
• • Food handler's card may be required according to local and or state regulations
