Job Description
We are looking for an amazing Assistant Manager to help operate our Big Chicken location in Valencia, CA. You will be responsible for overseeing all shift operations and leading the team.
As the Assistant Manager, you'll have a lot of face time with guests and employees. You'll act as quality control, ensuring customer satisfaction by properly training employees and adhering to company policies. You'll oversee service, take the lead resolving issues, and cover when the Manager is off duty or working on other projects.
Responsibilities
- Essential Functions
- * Report to all scheduled shifts no later than the scheduled start time.
- * Organizing the shift to ensure Speed of Service goals are met or exceeded.
- * Working closely with General Manager and Leads to meet revenue objectives.
- * Coaching your FOH Team Members to Upsell & Suggestive Sell to Build Sales.
- * Coaching your BOH Team Members to prepare our food items to specifications for Quality and Cost Control.
- * Ensuring order accuracy, from taking the order to Guest delivery.
- * Following all Cash Handling Policies and Procedures.
- * Monitoring Labor Dollars vs. Sales to minimize Labor costs.
- * Managing Food Cost by overseeing deliveries and proper product storage of Food & Beverage items and Supplies.
- * Monitoring the use and cleaning of Equipment to minimize Repair and Maintenance Costs.
- * Ensure all required work cards are always kept in good standing.
- * Train and supervise all staff.
- * Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly adhered to according to sanitary regulations.
- * Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language always. Make guests feel appreciated through attendant’s actions.
- * Work as a team with all Big Chicken's personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service.
- * Implement appropriate strategies and problem-solving techniques to resolve adverse trends and improve sales.
- * Maintain safe working conditions.
- * Work with others to keep all areas always cleaned and stocked to Big Chicken’s standards.
- * Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products, and equipment.
- * Be attentive! Offer assistance before the guest has to ask for it.
- * Serve alcohol responsibly.
- Physical Demands
- * Remain stationary for long periods of time.
- * Be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This position regularly requires long hours, night shifts, and frequent weekend/holiday work.
- Preferred Education and Experience
- * 3+ years prior experience working in a management role.
- Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- * Must maintain or be able to maintain an applicable state health card, alcohol compliance card.
- Work Authorization/Security Clearance
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
