Job Description
As the shift lead , you'll have a lot of face time with guests and employees. You'll act as quality control, ensuring customer satisfaction by properly training employees and adhering to company policies. You'll oversee service, take the lead resolving issues, and cover when the Manager is off duty or working on other projects. Requires cooking and management skills.
Looking for someone with experience in the restaurant field and management.
Also this is a evening shift position. Must be available nights.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing business segments of restaurant operations - including staffing and service
- Train new employees and supervise current employees to consistently provide exemplary service and achieve operational excellence
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment for guests and staff alike by adhering to safety and sanitation standards

About Paw-Paw's Catfish House
Ever since I was a little girl I have been fishing and hunting with my Paw-Paw and Maw-Maw. We would catch fish that were bigger than I was and I always remember how much fun we had. We would have big fish fry’s in the back yard and all of our friends and family would come. Paw-Paw would always fry catfish and hushpuppies until everyone was so full they could not eat any more. I remember running around and playing and enjoying life! As I grew up I spent my last 20 years in the restaurant business learning and one day hoping that I would have a restaurant of my own. It finally happened and I know my Paw-Paw and Maw-Maw are smiling down on us!
My husband and I have worked hard to create a place here in Bastrop that people will enjoy coming to. The walls are decorated with pictures of my family doing what they loved most- Fishing. Our menu is simple and all of our food is hand battered to order. We want you to come here, bring your family, have a great time and keep coming back.
Our motto here is Fish, Family and Big Stories! We know that with fishing always comes big stories! Stop by sometime soon and lets swap stories!
