Job Description
As the baker, you will be responsible for preparing baked goods of different varieties and will likely have opportunities to create or innovate recipes. You may work directly with customers and in all cases, a commitment to customer satisfaction and a passion for providing consistent quality is a must. You'll be responsible for cleaning and maintaining baking equipment and following all safety and sanitation protocols.

Clever Baking Co. is an excited group of hardworking individuals who are passionate about craft food and coffee in Austin, TX. Clever was founded by Gabrielle Rose and Jon French in September of 2017, bringing on Kay Kusumoto to develop a specialty dessert menu. Currently based at Manon's Shared Kitchen on the corner of Research Blvd and Anderson Lane in north Austin, we specialize in meeting the artisan pastry needs of our amazing coffee shop partners in the greater Austin area. We make morning pastries, quiche, and afternoon desserts.
We enjoy a short work week (Sun-Wed) and consistent hours so that we can pursue our other passions. Both Gabrielle and Jon play in a band, travel, visit with family, and get outside. Kay is a voice over artist, seamstress, music junkie, foodie/cook, and film buff.
***We currently provide pastries for all Epoch Coffee locations, Greater Goods Coffee Roasters, and Once Over Coffee Bar.
