Job Description

We are looking for a second barback to join our staff. This is for a part time/as needed position. Some months will have more shows than others and you will also have the option to pick up extra shifts that need to be covered as they pop up. Previous experience in bar backing and restaurant work is preferred, but willing to teach the right person. You will need to physically be able to move cases of beer and liquor when we get orders in as well as be physically able to move furniture to set up and break down after shows. You will also need to be able to work and communicate in a loud and busy environment since most of our best nights revolve around busy live shows. I prefer you to have some knowledge of beer and liquor that we carry, but again I can teach the right person. Being able to stock, clean, and in general multi task is important especially when we are busy. Almost all shows will be at night, but we do afternoon and day shows from time to time. Being available on Friday and Saturday is necessary for this position, but we do also have shows during the week from time to time. Being flexible with scheduling is important since some weeks can have more shows than others and there is no set schedule. The perfect person for this position would be able to work weekend and week day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean/wipe down bar area counters, furniture, and tabletops
• Wash glasses and dishes
• Handle drink spills and broken glassware
• Restock and replenish liquor, garnishes, and bar supplies
• Change beer kegs
• Empty trash and refill ice wells
