Job Description
As the barista, you will skillfully craft the perfect beverage with consistency. With a wide range of beverage offerings, attention to detail and working quickly & accurately will help ensure your success. You'll also be responsible for keeping your station and the larger establishment clean and stocked. Being a barista offers you a community of passionate coffee lovers and frequent opportunities for continued learning.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers
- Prepare and serve hot/cold beverages
- Share knowledge and suggest menu items to customers
- Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment
- Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Receive and process payments

The First Cup
Our story begins one day in the Venezuelan Andes, with a cup of coffee roasted that morning by our host, the Coffee Grower.
It’s 1986. Long before baristas. Long before gourmet coffee shops. While traveling through the Lara region of Venezuela, in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, we were invited to visit una hacienda de café (coffee plantation).
