Job Description
Hello my name is Dan. Looking to add 1 new bartender to our small staff. Our job requires knowledge of beer, wine, liquor and mix drinks, and coffee/espresso drinks. The perfect person would have knowledge and experience with Bartending and Barista jobs. I do not mind training the right candidate on one of the above skills, but I would prefer you have experience either being a barista or a bartender at the least. If you have experience in Toast or a POS similar that is a plus as well.
Our venue throws a lot of live shows. A good amount of the shows will be anything from Rock to Punk to Metal to Burlesque to Comedy to Hip Hop. Anyone that works with us has to be used to working in a loud and fast paced environment. If you do not like working in a very loud and sometimes fast paced job you will probably not like working at our venue. If you like bartending in music venues during shows and you get stoked about seeing live music this could be the job for you.
We need someone flexible for this position. This is a part time/schedule as needed bartending position. How many shows are booked each month will depend on how many shifts will be available. There will also be shifts that will need to be covered and whoever we hire will be able to pick those up as well. We are looking for someone that can pick up shifts and has a flexible schedule. Someone that has a day job or has another job that they can schedule their own hours would be the best fit for this position. There is no set schedule since some weeks may have more shows scheduled than others. Most of our busy shows are on Fridays and Saturdays, but we do shows on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursdays regularly as well. Every once in a while we do shows on Monday or Tuesday. Almost all shows are night shifts, but we do matinee and day shows from time to time or during SXSW. If you are flexible, can pick up shifts, and are willing to work 4-12 shifts a month you may be the right fit for us.
The above are the main skills and availability we are looking for. If all you have read so far sounds good I would love to set up an interview with you and talk more details of the job. I am hoping to do interviews in the coming week and get someone started asap so they are trained up and ready to go for SXSW.
Responsibilities

Being good at dealing with customers and strangers and making them feel welcome. Being flexible to pick up shifts and help fill holes in the schedule. Helping stock and altering staff if we are out or low on something. Being able to work in a loud environment since most shifts will involve live music or acts.
