Job Description
The Cashier is responsible for greeting our customers, taking orders over the phone and in person, and
answering any questions the customers may have. Cashiers are responsible for processing customer
payments through the Point of Sales (POS) system. The Cashier will anticipate customers’ needs and
exceed expectations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
-High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
-Must be at least 18 years of age.
-Spanish is a plus but not required.
-Must be TABC Certified.
-Must have Food Handler Certificate.
-Must be a team player.
-Hospitality and customer service oriented.
-Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and
decimals.
-Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
COMPUTER SKILLS
-Familiarity with point of sales system preferred.
-Basic computer skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
-Stands and walks on uneven, slippery, and/or wet surface for at least eight consecutive hours.
-Speaks and listens in-person to staff and customers for at least eight consecutive hours.
-Speaks through radio and listens through earpiece for at least eight consecutive hours.
-Clearly observes customer service in the dining room from up to one hundred feet.
-Routinely lifts, stoops, kneels, bends, pushes, and pulls up to 25 pounds, and reaches overhead.
-Routinely carries full service tray.
-Performs moderately strenuous activity for at least eight consecutive hours.
-Performs other physical requirements necessary to perform duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Must maintain a professional and welcoming attitude while at work.
- Practice the company service principles.
- Greet all guests when they enter the restaurant.
- Effectively communicate with guests regarding Mambo menu offerings, limited time offers and
- daily specials.
- Pack and sort to-go orders.
- Enter food and beverage orders into the POS system.
- Properly process guests’ payments.
- Clean and maintain cashier area before, after and throughout shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
