Job Description

Volente Beach is one of Austin's great icons on Lake Travis. Lots of crazy fun in the Summer and relaxing offseasons await our next team member.

As the chef, you’ll take responsibility for every plate that gets served and you will have great input into the menu. You’ll be expected to innovate and iterate on the menu to provide creative, quality food while meeting profit goals. You will be responsible for hiring and supervising the kitchen staff and coaching employees on consistency, technique and skills.

Responsibilities

• Create new menu items
• Direct the food prep process
• Plan & order ingredients and necessary equipment
• Arrange for kitchen repairs when needed
• Hire, manage, and train kitchen staff
• Oversee kitchen staff, looking for opportunities to counsel or coach
• Foster cooperation, collaboration and respect with front of house management and staff
• Have knowledge of and enforce all safety and sanitation requirements
