Job Description
The Chef de Cuisine oversees the daily kitchen operations, ensuring everything served to our guests is of the highest of standards. The CDC is knowledgeable in all aspects of kitchen management and is the main support of the Executive Chef. The CDC inspires and works to improve the team daily and brings creativity to the kitchen.
Compensation: $60,000 + participation in our Tip the Kitchen initiative.
Responsibilities
- Create menus
- Direct the food prep process
- Plan & order ingredients and necessary equipment
- Arrange for kitchen repairs when needed
- Use P&L statements to effectively manage costs and meet budgets
- Hire, manage, and train kitchen staff
- Oversee kitchen staff, looking for opportunities to counsel or coach
- Foster cooperation, collaboration and respect
- Have knowledge of and enforce all safety and sanitation requirements
