Job Description
You're the captain the ship, and you have a daily charter to the island of delicious meals. Every kitchen decision filters through you - budget, menus, composition, Pandora station, etc. Whether you're supervising or diving in headfirst, you're providing invaluable wisdom and guidance to the staff (and just sorta being a beacon of calmness amongst inevitable chaos).
Responsibilities
- Create menus.
- Approve dressed dishes before they’re served.
- Direct the food prep process with prep cooks.
- Plan orders of equipment or ingredients.
- Arrange for kitchen repairs when needed.
- Hire, manage, and train kitchen staff.
- Oversee kitchen staff work
- Foster cooperation and respect.
