Job Description

You're the captain the ship, and you have a daily charter to the island of delicious meals. Every kitchen decision filters through you - budget, menus, composition, Pandora station, etc. Whether you're supervising or diving in headfirst, you're providing invaluable wisdom and guidance to the staff (and just sorta being a beacon of calmness amongst inevitable chaos).

Responsibilities

  • Create menus.
  • Approve dressed dishes before they’re served.
  • Direct the food prep process with prep cooks.
  • Plan orders of equipment or ingredients.
  • Arrange for kitchen repairs when needed.
  • Hire, manage, and train kitchen staff.
  • Oversee kitchen staff work
  • Foster cooperation and respect.
