Job Description
As the chef, you’ll take complete responsibility for every plate that gets served and the overall direction of the menu. You’ll be expected to innovate and iterate on the menu to provide creative, quality food while meeting profit goals. You will be responsible for hiring and supervising the kitchen staff and coaching employees on consistency, technique and skills.
Responsibilities
- Create menus
- Direct the food prep process
- Plan & order ingredients and necessary equipment
- Arrange for kitchen repairs when needed
- Use P&L statements to effectively manage costs and meet budgets
- Hire, manage, and train kitchen staff
- Oversee kitchen staff, looking for opportunities to counsel or coach
- Foster cooperation, collaboration and respect
- Have knowledge of and enforce all safety and sanitation requirements

We started out in 2015 operating as a pop-up at NY/NJ farmers markets, festivals, street fairs, and local food events, in addition to catering, private events, and restaurant supply of guacamole. In early 2017 we finally reached our goal of saving for a FOOD TRUCK so we can hit the pavement and bring you the best of NJ culinary innovation on wheels! And we are proudly opening our very first brick & mortar location in Verona January in Dec. 2018.
