Job Description
The Pastry chef will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the pastry department and coaching staff on a wide variety of techniques and skills. Your skill in baking should be matched by your creativity to innovate and create new product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain quality of all product and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas
- Receive, check and properly store all incoming product
- Know and comply with all sanitation standards
- Schedule pastry and bread production based on business needs and communicate to staff
- Prepare reports as needed - including payroll and scheduling
- Review vendor pricing structures and adjust product as needed
- Operate, teach and supervise safe operation of all appliances and equipment
- Handle conflict resolution of guests and staff as needed

Kate began her chocolate career with an Executive Chocolatier position at Chocolate Secrets in Highland Park. While there, she was able to experiment and create a style of chocolate making that was new to the Dallas area. Her Handpainted Chocolate Collection and artistic style quickly gained attention and excitement through the DFW metroplex.
After 4 years of perfecting her chocolate craft, Kate created her own chocolate company – Kate Weiser Chocolate, in Trinity Groves in August, 2014 and has since expanded her brand to Northpark Center and coming soon to the Shops at Clearfork in early fall 2018. She is also partnering with Neiman Marcus for the 2018 Holiday season.
She was named Top 10 Chocolatiers in North America by Dessert Professional Magazine in 2014 and will continue pushing boundaries to create new and unexpected ways of enjoying chocolate.
