Job Description
As a cook, you'll set up your station and participate in prep. You should be passionate about putting out consistent, quality food and seeking opportunities to learn and grow in the kitchen. You should be able to follow recipes and take direction from the Chef or Sous Chef and also explore your creativity where appropriate. You welcome the fast, often hectic pace of the kitchen and are above all a team player.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Scotty began honing his skills in the kitchen at the tender age of 10. However, it wasn't until he graduated from law school and began throwing dinner parties that he really began to focus on his passion. After years of doing online cooking tutorials and pop-up cooking events with the help of his friend Rambo Elliot, Scotty published his first cookbook Fix Me A Plate, named one of NPR's Top 10 Cookbooks of 2022. Always looking to sharing his culinary creations with the community, Scotty began looking for places to open a permanent location. A chance meeting with Liz Mears, owner of the Holly Natural Wine Bar and Abe Fromage was born (kinda).
Abe Fromage (or Always Be Eating Fromage) is a one-of-a-kind culinary establishment with a menu inspired by the idea of simple and honest cooking. Chef Scotty Scott has developed a unique dining experience using creative ingredient combinations—taking you on a culinary journey from elevated grilled cheese to belly filling soul food and back.
