Job Description
As a cook, you'll set up your station and participate in prep. You should be passionate about putting out consistent, quality food and seeking opportunities to learn and grow in the kitchen. You should be able to follow recipes and take direction from the Chef or Sous Chef and also explore your creativity where appropriate. You welcome the fast, often hectic pace of the kitchen and are above all a team player.
Responsibilities
- Cook food in a variety of ways
- Prepare ingredients
- Possess a solid sense of timing
- Set up workstations with ingredients and cooking equipment
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Monitor stock and place orders for shortages

Our recently renovated dining room has been meticulously decorated with hints of warmth, reclaimed wood, brick, beautiful gold ceiling, exposed beams, all while keeping with an industrial-theme. Jason and Andrea have truly outdone themselves! “Going Green” has always been important to the Kaptchinskie’s and you will see many examples of their reclaiming and repurposing efforts. In addition to conservation, we proudly announce all the furnishings are 100% American-made! Many by Jason, himself! Stop by anytime….there truly is no other place like this on Bolivar!
Although our dining room in small, we do offer full table-service. A word of caution…because we are small, our dining room fills up quickly…especially during peak times such as the lunch and dinner rushes. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
