Job Description
As a cook, you'll set up your station and participate in prep. You should be passionate about putting out consistent, quality food and seeking opportunities to learn and grow in the kitchen. You should be able to follow recipes and take direction from the Chef or Sous Chef and also explore your creativity where appropriate. You welcome the fast, often hectic pace of the kitchen and are above all a team player.

It was back in 1994 when Mike Layne opened the doors to the original Layne's Chicken Fingers in College Station, Texas. The following year, a college student named Mike Garratt came by for lunch and on his way inside he stopped to clean up the flower beds. Mike Layne noticed the gesture and thought Mike Garratt would make a good addition to the team. Turns out he was right. For the next few years, the two Mikes worked together building the cult following they have today. As the restaurant continued to grow, Mike Garratt graduated from Texas A&M and eventually became the sole owner of Layne's Chicken Fingers. After giving College Station the finger for 24 years, in 2018, Mike Garratt decided it was time to share Layne's "Soon to be Famous"™ Chicken Fingers with the rest of the world.
