Job Description
As a cook, you'll set up your station and participate in prep. You should be passionate about putting out consistent, quality food and seeking opportunities to learn and grow in the kitchen. You welcome the fast, often hectic pace of the kitchen and are above all a team player.
Responsibilities
- Cook food in a variety of ways
- Prepare ingredients
- Possess a solid sense of timing
- Set up workstations with ingredients and cooking equipment
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Monitor stock and place orders for shortages

Our story begins in Peterborough, Ontario in 1980. We had only one location where customers would come to enjoy restaurant quality Chinese cuisine but in a quick service setting. The mall concept was born. The success of this first location generated demand throughout the province and soon spread across North America, prompting multiple store expansions over the next nine years.
In 1989, Manchu WOK® thrived under new management which aggressively built the company’s growth momentum, particularly in the United States. Through the 90’s, Manchu WOK® was made more accessible to fans of Asian cuisine by gaining greater exposure in non-traditional markets, such as Universities and Airports. By 2004, the chain made its mark overseas by bringing the Manchu WOK® brand to Guam and Japan.
We are soon approaching our fourth decade in the quick service restaurant (QSR) business and have been fortunate enough to be recognized as a leader in this business.
