About this location
About Sweet Basil
Sweet Basil Thai Cuisine was originally established in the 1990’s and purchased by Ounla and Somsy Thepkaysone in 2003. Since then until recently, the restaurant was owned and operated by Mr. & Mrs. Thepkaysone. Because of their hard work and commitment to excellence and authenticity, along with value and service, the restaurant had become a local favorite in the Mid-Cities area with a loyal customer base and consistently great reviews.
In March 2020, we found ourselves confronting the same challenges as many, many small businesses –
the COVID-19 Pandemic. Due to restrictions in the third week of the month, we closed our dining area, and were limited to take-out service only. After a few days of pretty dismal results, we started to see our loyal local following respond to the new way of business and help support us by their continued patronage. We also responded by adding curbside pickup, and non-contact delivery (free of charge) so that we could help meet the needs of our customers who have always treated us so well.
Our entire staff looks forward to continuing to provide an authentic Thai cuisine that pleases our customers. We are committed to "true customer happiness" in the dining experience, even now, when it is taking place elsewhere.
