Job Description

The Flying Fish is looking for an energetic dishwasher to assist in the cleaning of dishes and glassware as well as the general cleanliness of the restaurant. As a dishwasher/busser, you will work closely with the rest of the restaurant staff to ensure the restaurant’s smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• Job Qualifications:
• • Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
• • Picks up trash throughout the restaurant during entire shift
• • Maintains personal health and sanitation standards (washing hands constantly, keeping clothing clean and dry)
• • Responsible for cleaning dishes, glasses and maintenance of the dish area.
• • Performs all opening, closing and running side work as required by dishwasher and busser
• • Buss all tables, cleaning the table and removing all items
• • Fills and maintains condiment station
• • Fills and maintains ice in the coke machine
• • Fills and maintains condiments on all dining and patio tables
• • Sweep and maintains floors
• • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time
• • Must be fluent in English
• • Follows all safety and sanitation procedures

• • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized
• Working Conditions:
• • This position will spend 100% of the time standing, up to 10-12 hours shifts
• • The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 40 pounds regularly
• • This position requires constant moving, bending and stooping
