Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to join our team in our Richmond, VA location.
About the Role:
The Front of House Manager will lead the bar/restaurant on. We are looking for someone who is a strong leader, is excellent at managing and growing teams, and is driven to set and achieve company goals and objectives. This person must be committed to consistently delivering exceptional customer service, to which the company has built its reputation on. The Front of House Manager must not only be driven to achieve results but also committed to doing it the ""Companies Way"" by always living, and ensuring the team is living, the company culture and values, which is built on hard work, integrity, teamwork, and having a positive attitude.

- What you’ll do:
- Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- * Be a team leader and make decisions that are in the best interest of The Tipsy Crab Richmond.
- * A primary focus needs to be on hiring, training, developing of The Tipsy Crab Richmond FOH team.
- * Help grow and develop each team member to be the best that they can be at their job.
- * Live the company culture and values and coach all other team members to do the same.
- * Bring a positive attitude and help create a positive work environment for all team members.
- * Maximize profitability of The Tipsy Crab Richmond by driving/maximizing sales, and minimizing expenses. A large focus needs to be on food/beverage inventory management, margins, and labor costs
- * Create/manage processes to ensure food/beverage is being served timely and consistently
- * Manage to ensure quality dishes, proper pricing, and team responsibility is held to the highest standard
- * Lead The Tipsy Crab Richmond FOH team to accomplish company goals annually.
- * Lead and promote strong teamwork and cooperation within all areas of The Tipsy Crab Richmond (this includes Back of House Team)
- Customer Service:
- * Ensure that the highest levels of customer care are demonstrated by all The Tipsy Crab Richmond FOH team members
- * Ensure that the food/drinks being served are of the highest quality, consistent, and timely
- * Handle customer complaints/concerns that demand management’s attention
- * Ensure that the customer experience with The Tipsy Crab Richmond is of the highest quality
- Operations:
- * Help support all areas of The Tipsy Crab Richmond with tools/resources they need to do their job at a high level
- * Establishes par levels for supplies and equipment; monitors and maintains proper inventory levels; authorizes purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
- * Maintains food and beverage history including but not limited to sales mix and history, actual/potential costs, bar stock, and production time.
- * Ensures all kitchen and food and beverage operations follow all legislated health and licensing guidelines; ensures adherence to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
- * Monitors overall condition and cleanliness of restaurant, public areas, and outside grounds; ensures that deficiencies are rectified
- Employee Relations:
- * Lead the hiring, training, and performance management of all The Tipsy Crab Richmond FOH team members
- * Lead the staffing and scheduling to always ensure proper staff coverage during open business hours
- * Hold team members accountable to all company policy and procedures.
- * Have open communication with team members on their performance and have at least 1 performance review with each The Tipsy Crab Richmond FOH team member annually
- * Address team members that are under performing and work with those individuals to improve their performance
- * Handle employee concerns or complaints fairly and quickly
- * Improve team morale by recognizing individuals that are exceeding performance expectation
- * Over communicate The Tipsy Crab Richmond game plan, improvements, key measurements, etc. to all team members
- * Ensure a safe work environment for all The Tipsy Crab Richmond team members.

- Education and Experience:
- *ServSafe Certified
- * Bachelor’s degree in Business is preferred
- * Experience leading high performing teams and managing others
- * Experience as a manager of a bar/restaurant for at least 2 years is preferred
- * Results driven - good at setting and hitting goals
- * Commitment to excellence and high standards
- * Driven to take care of our customers and team members at a high level
- * Problem solver that takes initiative
- * Strong organizational and analytical skills
- * Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
