Job Description
As a fry cook, you are responsible for the preparation, presentation and execution of all items on the menu. The kitchen isn't the only thing that heats up—in this fast paced environment, you'll be expected to maintain poise under pressure. You'll know your prep work like the back of your hand, and your closing duties won't even bother you.
Responsibilities
- Ability to effectively cook and present all items on the menu in a timely manner
- Complete assigned prep list, efficiently run your station during the shift, and stock food as needed
- Exercising good safety, sanitation and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with all members of the BOH staff

Jax Grill was established in Houston in 1993 at 6510 S Rice Ave. in the Bellaire community. A second location at 1613 Shepherd Dr. opened in 1994. Our counter-service restaurant features a 100% scratch kitchen and live fire mesquite grill. Our menu is highlighted by the classic half-pound Jax Burger, Jax Margaritas and other classic Texan fare. Owned by Paul Miller and Gr8 Plate Hospitality since 2015, we recently expanded with a third location in Katy at 9910 Gaston Rd., Suite 200.
