This role will be an integral part of the Brentwood Social House team, providing strategic guidance, effective leadership, and a sounding board for ideas. This person has an owner’s mentality, craves a culture of collaboration, and is looking to lead a team to new heights. You will work directly with the owner, founder, and visionary behind Brentwood Social House, and each member of the team, to continue to bring the community-minded concept to its full potential. You will form relationships with customers and team members that foster a true connection.

This role will work within all elements of the business and have a true passion for improving employee experience (pay, benefits, training, etc), supporting the community through the development of our initiatives (events & catering), creating procedures (efficiency and standardization), and team mentorship. You have front and back of house experience in the foodservice industry

Responsibilities

• Operations & Administration
• • Development and refinement of operational standards, as well as the introduction of new programs and products that promote efficiency and improve the team and guest experiences including (but not limited to):
• Building a training/retention program
• Refining and expanding Standard Operating procedures
• Defining operational best practices for consistent food/drink quality and restaurant procedures
• • Help facilitate events production, coordination, preparation, communication, and execution
• • Manage and monitor daily shift, inventory, and financial performance
• • Manage the maintenance and repairs of production and technology equipment
• • Oversee COGs and supply purchases and inventory
• Team Leadership
• • Responsible for hiring, on-boarding, training, scheduling, and firing of team members
• • Collaborate with Kitchen Manager for seamless operations between FOH & BOH
• • Maintain positive team morale through coaching, listening, conflict resolution, guidance, and incentives
• • Holds self and others accountable to a consistent level of high-performance standards
• Food & Beverage Service
• • Current Food Manager’s Certification and TABC certified
• • Strong understanding of kitchen and coffee/espresso related environments
• • Possess the knowledge and ability to execute and lead health safety protocols, including Covid-safe practices
• General Duties
• • Reliable transportation and the ability to lift heavy objects
• • Must be able to work during peak times and special events, including on the weekends and during holidays if needed
• • Strong computer skills (Google Suite, Slack, Excel, etc)
• • Respond to all employee and customer inquiries (texts, calls, and emails) in a timely manner
