Job Description
As a Ground Keeper, you're fully immersed in the spirit of the establishment. You're high functioning, adaptable, and ready for whatever a customer throws at you. Working with other team members isn't just your strong suit, it's one of your favorite parts of the job. When you clock in, you're daring the day to challenge you.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests to make them feel comfortable and welcome
- Take guests’ food orders and handle cash/credit transactions
- Follow operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety/security to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift
- Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items
- Serve food to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- Quickly and accurately prepare food items

The Hawg Stop is owned and operated by Delmer and Sheila Barkley who can frequently be seen taking care of business and talking with customers. Delmer originally opened “Delmer’s Ice House” on Garrett Road in 1995. As the business grew, he set his sights on opening a larger venue, one that was more suited for larger crowds and events. In 1999 he did just that.
We offer a full liquor bar, beer, wine, and food seven days a week, and live music Thursday through Sunday. With a faithful and fun-loving customer base, there's always something happening at the “Stop”. Our "Hawgtenders" will make you feel right at home.
