Job Description
*Must be available on weekends
As host, you'll be the conductor of the orchestra that is service. You are the first impression of the restaurant and set the tone for guests' experiences. You will answer phones, take reservations, and be responsible for seating guests according to server availability. Your attention to detail and communication are critically important. You are also the last note of the experience, and will wish guests farewell and invite them to come back.
Responsibilities
- Greet all guests with a smile upon arrival
- Seat guests and accommodate special requests
- Manage the wait list: record guest names and number in party, and provide estimated waiting time
- Answer phones and manage the restaurant reservation system
- Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness

Big Box Catering is a concept that we designed to offer a variety of great menu items that we have created over time to more people. We bring it to the Dallas metroplex through a simple, worry-free catering service that is super easy to order, serve, and clean up.
Our team came together in 2011 and we spent several months creating Company Café on Lowest Greenville in Dallas, Texas. That same year it became one of the top 10 best new restaurants in Dallas and continues to be popular foodie destination. Company Café specializes in clean comfort food and is one of the only restaurants in Dallas to craft amazing gluten-free dishes. Stop by any day of the week to enjoy our daily brunch menu, relax with a hot cup of coffee, or grab dinner on a Friday or Saturday night.
After a few years of operating our second Company Café located on Katy Trail until our lease expired, we decided to build a commissary kitchen so that we could get our delicious food to more people and launch Big Box Catering. While turning an old diner on Ross Avenue into our new kitchen and installing two large industrial smokers, we began making incredible tasting barbecue in addition to our excellent menu items that we created at Company Café. Our barbecue is a big hit and a top seller. We are continuously testing-refining new dishes and expanding our Big Box menu options.
