The host’s responsibility is to warmly welcome and seat guests, identify any and all VIP guests, receive and confirm reservations, assist in table plotting and quoting of wait times. Hosts are expected to assist on the floor in any way and know all history and philosophy behind the restaurant creation, food, and beverage.
