Job Description
The Host is responsible for providing a warm and inviting environment for all guests. Works alongside
service and support staff to provide a great dining experience four our guests. The host will anticipate
guest needs and exceed expectations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
-High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
-Spanish is a plus but not required.
-Must be TABC Certified.
-Must have Food Handler Certificate.
-Must be a team player.
-Hospitality and customer service oriented.
-Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
COMPUTER SKILLS
-Familiarity with point of sales system preferred.
-Basic computer skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
-Stands and walks on uneven, slippery, and/or wet surface for at least eight consecutive hours.
-Speaks and listens in-person to staff and customers for at least eight consecutive hours.
-Speaks through radio and listens through earpiece for at least eight consecutive hours.
-Clearly observes customer service in the dining room from up to one hundred feet.
-Routinely lifts, stoops, kneels, bends, pushes, and pulls up to 25 pounds, and reaches overhead.
-Routinely carries full service tray.
-Performs moderately strenuous activity for at least eight consecutive hours.
-Performs other physical requirements necessary to perform duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a professional and welcoming attitude while at work.
- Practices the company service principles.
- Opens front door for guests and provides warm welcome to guests entering the restaurant.
- Responsible for greeting and seating guests, and thanking guests as they depart.
- Maintains presence at host station except when completing relevant job duties that require
- leaving the host area.
- Controls the flow of seating to maintain proper tickets times from the kitchen.
- Maintains cleanliness of host station and front entry way.
- Serves as first and last impression of restaurant to our guests.
- Seats only complete parties or parties with at least 80% of the total number of the party.
- Additional opening and closing side work related job duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
