About Mary'z Mediterranean Cuisine
Mary’z Mediterranean Cuisine is a family owned and operated business which first opened its doors to Houston in January 2005. Under the culinary direction of Mary and Samir Fakhoury, Mary’z has become a successful restaurant establishment in Houston.
The Fakhoury family was born and raised in north Lebanon. In 2001 they decided they needed a change and began their new chapter across the globe in Houston, Texas. After a few years of venturing into different occupations, they decided to settle on what felt like home, food. Food is what they think of when remembering their childhood, from births, to christenings, to holidays – memories of Mary striving for hours in the kitchen and not sitting down to eat until her family’s bellies were full.
With the help of their three children, Jimy, Mira, and Nano, they opened their first family restaurant on Richmond Ave. in 2005. They worked endlessly for years to offer an exceptional quality of dishes at reasonable prices. After ten years of continued success, they opened their second restaurant location on Washington Ave. in 2015, which was welcomed by the Houston community.
