Job Description
As Kitchen Helpers, you are responsible for the preparation, presentation and execution of all items on the menu. The kitchen isn't the only thing that heats up—in this fast paced environment, you'll be expected to maintain poise under pressure. You'll know your prep work like the back of your hand, and your closing duties won't even bother you.
Responsibilities
- Ability to effectively cook and present all items on the menu in a timely manner
- Complete assigned prep list, efficiently run your station during the shift, and stock food as needed
- Exercising good safety, sanitation and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with all members of the BOH staff

Near St. Mary Jamaica, Mavis & Ephraim Hawthorne, parents of our founder Lowell Hawthorne, ran Hawthorne & Sons Bakery for more than 50 years with the help of their 11 children working on the expanding dream.
The Hawthorne siblings, along with their spouses, put their savings together and opened the first Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery at 1381 E. Gunhill Road, New York.
Golden Krust moved its manufacturing plant to the South Bronx and eventually purchased nearly the entire block from 172nd Street to Claremont Parkway on Park Avenue.
Golden Krust opened its first franchise location in Brooklyn, New York to Mr. Earl Chin.
