Job Summary
A line cook plates dishes and completes basic food prepping tasks for a restaurant. Their main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cleaning up prep areas, and making sure the kitchen is stocked. We are looking for dedicated team members who want to grow with an incredible company.
Responsibilities
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

- • Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu edits
- • Presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing guests about food preparation details
- • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
- • Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
- • Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed
- • Assisting with special events as needed
- • Greet all guests in a hospitable and warm manner
- • Understand and communicate all products and services available
- • Must have some familiarity with basic food knowledge
- • Commit to delivering high levels of customer service
- • Practice appropriate/required safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- • Handling cash and credit transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guests.
- Qualifications
- • High School diploma or GED
- • Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant
- • Able to multi-task
- • Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces
- • Customer service focused and solution oriented
- • Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
- • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs
- • Food handler's card may be required according to local and or state regulations
