Job Description
We are looking for prep cooks that will be with the George’s Team through Labor Day Weekend, 2023.
The prep cook handles the majority of the prep for all ingredients going into dishes during service. This position often works under little supervision, so you must be able to follow recipes and be well-versed in a variety of food products and techniques. The quality of the prep work is instrumental in the quality of the finished product, so attention to detail is paramount.

Overlooking the Block Island Sound in the picturesque fishing port of Galilee, George’s of Galilee Waterfront Seafood Restaurant has been serving generations of families its award winning signature dishes since 1948.
We are located directly on the beach! In the summer, we are a very fast paced, high volume restaurant. George's is open year round and has a continuously lively atmosphere even in the off season, with many locals visiting as well as though from far away who have heard of our history here.
We offer the widest selection of fresh local boat-to-plate seafood, farm-to-table vegetables, a seasonal sushi menu, lobster specials, as well as fresh hand-cut steaks. Guests may choose from six different dining rooms on two floors, al fresco dining, and our takeout window, all with spectacular waterfront views. We have five bars, including one barefoot beach bar on our back patio. We have our own beach and offer beach blanket service during the summer.
We have live music upstairs in our Channel Lounge.
We also have an industry night volleyball tournament every Monday night in the summer, sponsored by Narragansett Beer. Ask about joining our team!
