Job Description
The prep cook handles the majority of the prep for all ingredients going into dishes during service. This position often works under little supervision, so you must be able to follow recipes and be well-versed in a variety of food products and techniques. The quality of the prep work is instrumental in the quality of the finished product, so attention to detail is paramount.

Hutchins BBQ was started in 1978 as “Roy’s Smokehouse” in Princeton, Texas; originally a small establishment connected to Roy’s home. By 1991, Roy’s Smokehouse had become such a local favorite that Roy had to move to a bigger location.
Roy decided to retire in 2006 after a lifetime in BBQ, passing on the reins to his 3 sons. In 2012 there was a devastating fire at the restaurant in McKinney. However, in 2013 rising from the ashes; Hutchins BBQ smoked its way into Texas Monthly’s “Top 50 BBQ Joints in the World.” With business booming; The Hutchins decided to open a new location in Frisco, Texas to become their catering headquarters. Now we are providing the same excellent meats at our McKinney & Frisco locations and now any location you choose; with our restaurant now providing online shipping straight to your dining room table!
