Job Description
The prep cook handles the majority of the prep for all ingredients going into dishes during service. This position often works under little supervision, so you must be able to follow recipes and be well-versed in a variety of food products and techniques. The quality of the prep work is instrumental in the quality of the finished product, so attention to detail is paramount.

At La Paletera we brought the street vendor experience indoors. The paleta cart is intact but with much more complete offerings like ice cream cups, cones, bowls, sundaes and splits. Add a scoop or two to a fresh fruit smoothie or order one of our many varieties of fresh fruit cups like our best selling Fresa con Crema. Still not full? Snack on some nachos, tostadas, duros, a shrimp cocktail, a frito pie or one of our very popular corn cups (elote). You can spice your choices up with our specially prepared chili with salt and lime or try our more spicy corn chili. Add a squeeze of lime juice, a dash of salt or ask for Valentina hot sauce to get it just the way you like it.
