Job Description
The prep cook handles the majority of the prep for all ingredients going into dishes during service. This position often works under little supervision, so you must be able to follow recipes and be well-versed in a variety of food products and techniques. The quality of the prep work is instrumental in the quality of the finished product, so attention to detail is paramount.

THE HISTORY OF TEPATITLÁN
Tepatitlán, is a small city located in the State of Jalisco-Mexico where the best restaurants of typical and traditional Mexican food are located. Tepatitlán comes from the Nahuatl Tecpatl, (which means rock), and titlán, (which means place inside or in the middle of), which stands for “place in between rocks” due to its location being cemented over flints.
The history of this great chain of Mexican food begins with the foundation of our first rock in the year of 1981 in the state of Texas, and it was born with the idea of bringing the Houston community the best of Mexican gastronomy, maintaining an authentic touch, with the use of ingredients 100% Mexican and original traditional recipes so the public will enjoy and be delighted of real delicious Mexican food.
As of now, our chain has 9 established locations( 8 in Houston, and 1 in Rosenberg), and it continuous to grow and expand thanks to the support of our wonderful costumers that continue to enjoy our authentic food day to day for 38 years now. For this reason,”WE ARE THE ARTISANS OF MEXICAN FOOD.”
