Job Description

As a key member of Love & War’s hospitality staff, servers must provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. The ideal candidate in this position must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, maintaining a courteous demeanor with customers, as well as effectively make use of downtime. Strong leadership and personnel management skills be accompanied by a commitment to company values, image, and customer service.

Server Responsibilities:

• Suggest appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials

• Take customers’ food and drink orders

• Check guests’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages

• Ensure that all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner

• Confirm orders with the chefs and bartenders whenever a clarification is requested

• Assist with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties

• Clean tables or counters after guests have finished dining

• Roll silverware, set up food stations or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties

• Work closely with restaurant management to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience

Server Requirements:

• High School Diploma

• Server experience preferred

• Proficiency with point-of-sale software

• Strong customer service skills

• Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced, stressful environment
