About Papa Gallo's Mexican Grill
Papa’ Gallo (pronounced guyō not gallow) translates to Father Rooster; what’s that all about. Simply put, my grandfather, a great, self made South Texas businessman, once said a long time ago that he wanted to open a Mexican restaurant to be called “Papa Galló”. I really liked the sound of it back then and still do today. He opened and owned many businesses in his life, however he never opened Papa Galló. So in a way, this restaurant is a tribute to my grandfather. I’ve been traveling to San Antonio Texas since I was born and have always enjoyed the Mexican cuisine available down there. If you have ever been to the Southwest or other markets where good Mexican food is served, you understand the food we are striving for at this restaurant. We want to bring traditional Mexican/TexMex cuisine to the Syracuse market. I have been talking about opening a Mexican restaurant in Syracuse for as long as I can remember and here it is. I hope you like it.
