Job Description
As a server, you truly care about providing a memorable and hospitable experience. You are welcoming and accommodating with the ability to educate our patrons and guide their experience to create lasting memories. You have a desire to expand your knowledge of our offerings and be creative with your recommendations, using suggestive selling where appropriate. You work quickly, love being part of a team and are capable of solving problems in stride.
Responsibilities
- Present menu and answer questions
- Take orders and make recommendations
- Manage tables paying attention to cleanliness and order
- Issue bills and accept payment
- Listen to complaints or problems with a positive attitude

Shortie's Pizza and Grinders is a chef owned and operated restaurant here in Austin, TX. We are very passionate about the quality of food we serve. Our mission is to source the freshest ingredients and create something delicious.
Our chef + owner, Amir Hajimaleki and our pastry chef, Dennis Van have been featured in Forbes articles and shows like the Netflix original show, Sugar Rush (Season 1, Episode 5 if you want to check to out!). We have also won multiple awards, including “Top best happy hour” and “Top brunches to enjoy from home”, and "Best fine dining pandemic Persian pop-up" for their pop-up restaurant Roya. We hold ourselves to very high standards and our guests can see that.
