Job Description
The Blue Wagyu at Yankee Springs Golf Course is currently hiring a Sous chef to add to our Blue Crew! We are seeking qualified candidates who love steaks, other delicious farm-to-table food, excellent wages, a fun atmosphere & are excited to be part of our team!
The Blue Wagyu proudly offers the feel of a downtown dining experience in a picturesque rural setting. We are centrally located between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo in Wayland, MI in the heart of Yankee Springs Recreational Area. We are a family-owned, upscale, farm-to-table restaurant with an outdoor eatery, The Shed. The owners are also farmers that raise American Wagyu. All beef served is Wagyu! We offer a fast-paced, healthy atmosphere with pristine views in all directions.
We are seeking a hardworking, passionate person who can easily take directions & enjoys people to join our team where you will be valued, challenged, and appreciated!
Schedule:
-5 days per week
-Open for service Monday - Saturday
-40-50 hours per week
Compensation:
-$20-$23 per hour depending upon experience
Responsibilities
- Assists in daily supervising of day-to-day activities & training of kitchen staff
- Assists with menu planning, inventory, and managing of supplies
- Prepares food for service
- Cooks menu items maintaining high quality standards
- Answer, report, and follow Head Chef’s instructions
- Follow standard operating procedures
