Job Description

Responsibilities
- Greet guests to make them feel comfortable and welcome
- Take guests’ food orders and handle cash/credit transactions
- Follow operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety/security to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift
- Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items
- Serve food to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- Quickly and accurately prepare food items

Melisa became the Pie Lady because two little boys needed a forever home.
All great stories – and pies – start with a pinch of love.
The boys, her great nephews, had been through a lot in their short lives. The 10-year-old lived with his elderly grandmother, and the 6-year-old was placed in the Alabama foster care system.
Melisa, her husband and her teen sons knew what had to be done. The boys needed to join their family in Texas.
Melisa began to bake pies as a way to raise money for legal fees. The fundraiser became a full-time job, and Melisa began working out of a commercial kitchen. A year and a half later, she had raised enough to bring Landen and Levi into her home.
“They are so grateful to be here, and we feel blessed to have them,” said Melisa.
She continues to love on all her boys. She also continues her baking business, which enables her to offer the best pies and cakes North Texans have ever tasted.
