Job Description
The Flying Fish is a well-established and high volume fast-casual service restaurant and we're hiring at our Cypress Waters location! We are looking to immediately fill a Restaurant Key Employee position. Seeking career-minded individuals with high energy and a passion for not only the business they conduct, but the staff they support, and the customers they serve. We pride ourselves on our outstanding food quality and passionate service, and our restaurants have built a reputation of being fun and casual with the best seafood around.
Responsibilities
- • At least 1 years (Current or within last 6mo) of Full Service or fast casual Restaurant Management experience. Seafood experience is a plus.
- • Strong Back of the House knowledge.
- • Extremely hands on work ethic.
- • Bi-lingual is a plus, but not necessary.
- • A demonstrated ability to build sales and reach out to the community
- • The ability to attract, develop, and retain top hourly talent
- • A track record of building guest loyalty
- • Proven ability to hold team members accountable and motivate a team to succeed
- • Must be able to function in a faced paced environment and on your feet up to 10-12 hours per day.
- • Must be able to transport items up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
- • Must be TABC certified
- • Must have a valid Safe Serv Management Certificate

About Flying Fish
The Flying Fish is born out of a love for the many East Texas Fish Joints available on area lakes, especially Caddo Lake. We sell gobs of fresh catfish, shrimp and oysters, grilled fish, shrimp cocktail, fish cocktail, crab legs, burgers, chicken and mudbugs (crawfish) in season.
A specialty selection of grilled salmon, trout or tilapia is also offered each day. Ice cold Tap and bottled Beer, wine and homemade margaritas are also served.
The Flying Fish is a “fast-casual” format - come as you are!!! Parents, grandparents, kids --- ALL are welcome!
We offer more than just a wide selection of fish.
We have great hamburgers, chicken tenders and fresh salads galore. If you want us to top your salad with a piece of grilled fish, we have that too.
We also give the customers the chance to participate in the “Liars Wall” – bring in a photo of YOU with your big catch and lie about its size!!!! – and we are the Home of the world’s first Billy Bass Adoption Wall. Any customer who donates a Billy Bass receives a FREE BASKET OF CATFISH, along with his or her name on a wall plaque and we promise to house, shelter, love and protect each ADOPTED Billy Bass.
