Responsibilities
- Manage entire operation of restaurant, including daily decisions, staff support, guest relations, scheduling, hiring, training, product quality and cleanliness.
- Clearly lead the team. Present employees with a supportive environment. Counsel and coach staff as needed.
- Provide employees with positive and constructive feedback and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Solve any individual or departmental problems as they arise.
- Ensure employee standards are consistent through documented, timely evaluations, reviews and discharges when necessary.
- Ensure high quality of food service by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization, storage, sanitation of food products, line checks, etc. throughout shifts.
- Conduct monthly cleaning crews.
- Oversee all ordering, receiving and inventory.
- Oversee production of all prep items ensuring recipe adherence, ticket times, and food production meet or exceed company standards.
- Ensure proper operation of all restaurant equipment (e.g., maintaining machinery, cleaning equipment regularly, replacing lights, spotting safety hazards, etc.).
- Stay informed and current on all areas of Risk Management. Fill out accident and injury reports promptly whenever there is an incident with an employee or guest.
- Work with the assistant manager and shift leads on all staffing plans.
- Keep District Manager fully informed of all matters of significance; take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative course of action.
- Create a fun and positive working environment by building morale in all staff members.
- Perform checkout of servers and cashiers ensuring that all tickets, money, credit transactions, checks, marketing coupons, promo coupons, and the amount of tips declared and withheld are accurately accounted for.
- Prepare Labor, Food, Sales, and Inspection Reports as needed according to company policies and procedures.
- Inventory all goods and products according to company procedures.
- Project and evaluate sales, labor and food costs according to company procedures.
- Lead and develop ideas for all meetings to include; weekly managers meeting, monthly staff meetings, and all that pertain to operations and job position training.
- Be relied upon by the entire team for guidance, growth, and motivation; an honest and approachable resource.
- Provide a favorable image at all times to promote objectives and enhance public recognition.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other employees and guests to foster and promote a harmonious working climate that maximize morale, productivity, and efficiency.
- Set the pace and agenda each day: problem-solving, planning, assigning responsibility, and ultimately accepting responsibility for positive and negative outcomes.
