Job Description
This position requires the Line Cook to be responsible for preparing the highest quality menu items for guests while maintaining a clean, sanitized kitchen area. The Line Cook is responsible for consistently following recipes and procedures, as well as adhering to Ojos Locos standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communicates with Kitchen Manager or management team or on any food related issues
Well versed in preparing food items while constantly adhering to recipe standards
Works directly with team members to ensure all guest requests are accommodated
Follow recipes; upholds specs and perfect presentation of every dish
Proper food handling and sanitation of work areas; ensures compliance with food handling requirements
Supports other stations and areas of the HOH as needed
Maintains neat and organized work areas
Accomplished all opening, running and end of shift side work; including ensuring work areas are stocked and ready for the next shift
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma preferred with the ability to work a flexible schedule (late shifts, weekends, or holidays).
Must be at least 18 or older
Requirements and Skills
Food handler certificate required
Ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish
