Job Description

The prep cook handles the majority of the prep for all ingredients going into dishes during service. This position often works under little supervision, so you must be able to follow recipes and be well-versed in a variety of food products and techniques but also keep up with dishes. The quality of the prep work is instrumental in the quality of the finished product, so attention to detail is paramount. Since this position also handles our dish area, prep should be completed by 11 am and then pre-close and dish from then until close. We are finished up between 3:00pm and 3:15pm most days.

Responsibilities

• This position is also an all around kitchen position. We always like to develop everyone so that you are proficient and cross trained in each of the positions in our kitchen. There are training videos that help with your training and greatly ensure that everyone can assist at any position if necessary. They include Waffle/Pancake Grill, Main Grill, Egg Grill Specialist, Expo (our shift QB) as well as the Prep/Dish position. Minimal experience is required for this position as we will develop you as you catch on at your pace. Being open 6am to 2pm also ensures you are off within an 60-90 minutes after closing. There are no night shifts which makes this restaurant an awesome place to work.
