About Pizza Joe's
THE "PIZZA JOE" DREAM
When Joe “Pizza Joe” Seminara opened the first Pizza Joe’s restaurant in 1980, he envisioned the business expanding into a chain of eateries bursting with flavor and community spirit.
The entrepreneur worked long hours in that 600-square-foot storefront in New Castle, PA, to make his dream come true. Joe’s plan was simple – to offer his customers excellent service and the best food his hands could produce.
After four years of hard work, Joe’s dream began to come true as he opened additional shops throughout the greater New Castle area. The first Pizza Joe’s franchise opened in March 1985 in Ellwood City, PA, followed by many additional franchise operations throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio in the years that followed.
